Minecraft & Pixelmon Version
We are no longer on minecraft version 1.12.2 but are now on 1.16.5! This introduces a bunch of new blocks, biomes and features that we’ve been missing out on until now.
We have upgraded minecraft versions so we can run the latest Pixelmon Reforged version, which again introduced a bunch of new things such as new breeding mechanics and Pokemon!
BYG
The new map will be running oh The Biomes You’ll Go. This is a biomes mod that is compatible with Pixelmon and will introduce a whole load more places for you to explore, blocks to build with and really nice views! We hope you enjoy it as much as we have so far.
New Map & Builds
We have an entirely new world to explore, and much more of it too. We have increased the map size to 25k by 25k which allows us to get as many new biomes as we can, and have more space for all of you.
We also have some brand new builds to show you. From your first moment on the server, you will be surrounded by a completely custom made spawn with amazing views and easter eggs to find. We will have custom gym islands for our new gyms and a complete makeover of magipark!
New Gyms
Our gym journey is still early on, but you will be able to challenge and explore the first three gyms at launch, with the rest coming over the following months as we continue to build them. Our first three gym typings are:
Fighting
Fairy
Grass
A change has also come to the way our gym progression works. You will now need to complete the first 8 regular gyms before you can challenge the hardmode gyms. This allows us to give you better rewards for them and have a more rounded gym experience.
Our gym journey won’t end there, so keep an eye out for all future updates we have on them.
Quests
We will be looking deeply into quests and developing our story through them. You will have the main story quests with side quests, daily quests, legendary quests and more! We hope to bring you an immersive and rich experience throughout the servers lifetime.
A Different Way to Breed
With the new Pixelmon version came a new breeding block, the DayCare. We will no longer be using ranch blocks and will be using these moving forward.
To begin with, each DayCare will have one box that you can breed pokemon in. You can gain extra boxes through playing the game in areas such as gym rewards and pokedex completion.
We’ve given more power to the breeders and have allowed them to make the decision on how their Pokemon can be used by the buyer. This prevents other players from being able to breed your pokemon by default, letting you control your market and how they can be distributed. When you sell a pokemon, it will continue to follow this rule, unless you decide to sell it as breedable. When a pokemon is sold as breedable, it’ll allow the buyer to also breed the pokemon, as well as yourself.
Breedable and Unbreedable pokemon will sell for different amounts, with breedable being more expensive. This not only helps the breeder, but we hope it will encourage more sales between players and help with economic balance.

What happens to the old world?
The old server will stay online for now, and you can continue to play on it. It will not receive any updates or maintenance and will eventually be taken offline. You can not connect to it through the hub but instead will be able to connect through a separate IP shortly.
Can I get my pokemon data?
We are happy to give you your pokemon data so you can keep it and use it in a singleplayer world. All you need to do is fill out this form.
How do I connect to the new server?
You connect the exact same way as before! Just do /server pixelmon while in the hub or walk into the portal.

The server is and will continue to be in active development for the foreseeable future and is very much in a beta phase of its life. During this time, we will be adding and changing features based on your feedback, as well as continuing our natural progression of the story.
During this time we ask you to report any bugs in our discord and tell us how we can continue to improve the server.
